The Governor’s proposed budget cuts $15 million in funding to the California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP)—the largest, most effective behavioral health investment for Native, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities. At UAII, CRDP supports our Drum, Dance & Regalia workshops, providing cultural healing and mental wellness to Native families across L.A. County. If cut, our clients will lose 6–12 weeks of critical services, and our ability to track program impact will be lost. UAII proudly hosted our Spring All Staff Meeting, bringing our entire team together to connect and collaborate!

Board members addressed our team, department heads shared updates on their work and their goals for the year, and external and remote staff joined the event virtually via Zoom.
The day was filled with meaningful connection, collaboration, and community-building — plus a shared meal that brought everyone together in celebration.
