  • The ThinkingData China team is gearing up for one of our ThinkingData Summits (TDS) this July 9th in Guangzhou, and as they prepare for this year’s event, we wanted to share some of last year's highlights. Our lineup of speakers included: Takuro Mizobe (CEO, Pocketpair, Inc.) revealed how Palworld’s breakout success came from resisting trends and prioritizing long-term player satisfaction. Kei Hirono (Producer, FF Brave Exvius, Square Enix) emphasized the need for LiveOps to move in sync with rapidly shifting player behavior and platform expectations. Lu Huibo (Senior Analyst, Gamma Data) outlined the game genres poised for growth in 2024—predictions that proved surprisingly accurate. Lemon Choi (CEO, Hyperjoy Game) spoke on the strategic value of competitive intelligence and market positioning for scaling studios. As a pioneer in global game data infrastructure, we host regional game data conferences every year to explore how data is shaping the future of the games industry. In 2024, we were proud to welcome over 35 senior executives from leading game companies across Asia. At its core, TDSs are about more than just data; it’s about building a space for meaningful conversations, strategic insights, and the future of games. We’re proud to host conferences of this scale and can’t wait to welcome incredible speakers and guests this year in China, Japan, Korea, and next year in the US 📍 Looking forward to the highlights of TDS 2025 in Guangzhou!

  • What happens when natural language meets data analysis? At ThinkingData, we’ve been developing new ways for teams to interact with their game data using large language models (LLMs). From generating dashboards with a single prompt, to cross-language queries and AI-powered summaries, these features are designed to lower the barrier between teams and insights. Our goal isn’t to replace dashboards or SQL. It’s to make analytics more accessible, so product managers, UA leads, and game designers can explore data faster and with more flexibility. There’s still work to do. But we’re excited by the potential. Want to see more? Reach out to the team.

  • Built for Game Studios That Take Data Security Seriously At ThinkingData, security isn’t a feature. It’s a foundation. We help game studios deploy powerful analytics without risking control of their data: Private deployment: Keep everything inside your own environment. No external access. No exposure. Granular access controls: Set precise permissions by project, event, or field. Secure transmission: Intranet-first. HTTPS when needed. Built-in reliability: High availability architecture and real-time inflow protection. Whether you need full-stack data sovereignty or enterprise-level uptime, we make it simple to scale without compromise. Have questions about data security or deployment? Send us a message. #GameAnalytics #DataSecurity #ThinkingData #LiveOps #GamingInfrastructure #GameDev

Most games burn through UA budgets chasing scale. Century Games didn’t. Instead, they used real-time data to tune their acquisition. ✅ Track LTV by channel – Connecting acquisition data to ThinkingEngine's in-game behavior data enabled them to track LTV by channel cohorts. ✅ Shift budget to top-performing channels – With ongoing feedback loops, they dynamically targeted high LTV installs to maximize returns and capped CPA on lower-value acquisitions to avoid wasted budget. ✅ Optimize growth and control CAC – UA, LiveOps, and monetization didn’t operate in silos. They were aligned in one system that kept acquisition efficient and sustainable at scale. What it delivered: 🚀 $133M in monthly revenue (March 2025) — a record-breaking high Everything came together: onboarding, LiveOps, and UA, all connected through a single real-time data pipeline. No guesswork. No silos. Just one adaptive system built to optimize and scale. Whiteout Survival grew fast AND it grew smart. That’s how Century Games turned early momentum into long-term dominance. Powered by ThinkingData, every piece of their strategy worked in sync to drive resilient growth. The real takeaway? Sustainable scaling starts with the right infrastructure.

What does it take to launch a $2B+ mobile game in 2025? Data-first onboarding. Smarter UA spend. Region-tuned LiveOps. 👇Here are 3 ways they've used data to consistently pull in over $100 million in monthly revenue: Smarter onboarding for reduced early churn From Day 1, the team used ThinkingData to monitor player behavior in real time. This allowed them to fine-tune tutorials and system unlocks based on actual player actions, significantly lowering early friction and boosting long-term retention. Real-time UA optimization maximized LTV By linking in-game IDs to UA tracking, Century Games was able to identify high-LTV cohorts, retarget similar audiences, and determine which players were worth the extra ad dollars. This was a major driver in reaching over $2 billion in total revenue. Cohort-based LiveOps scaled global engagement With players segmented by country, engagement level, and spending behavior, the team launched localized content drops tailored to each market, all powered by one centralized system. This enabled global growth without sacrificing operational speed or quality. The result? 100M+ downloads to date ATH of $133M in revenue for March of 2025 A new blueprint for 4X success When Whiteout Survival was launched by Century Games, they didn’t just ship another 4X title, they built a LiveOps machine driven by live player data. #MobileGaming #GameAnalytics #LiveOps #GameMonetization #4XGames #GamingData #CenturyGames #WhiteoutSurvival
