TOMORROW! The Maryland Medicaid reimbursement system continues to be updated and modified. Each of those updates can affect your facility differently. The system was rebased last year based on calendar year 2022 cost reports. Does the system need to be rebased more often? The nursing case mix calculation continues to transition from RUGs to PDPM. What does that mean to your facility? The annual budget increase the industry has experienced each July is now in question. Other important calculations in the rate-setting formula have lagged behind in these updates, how and when do we address those items? Learners have the ability to complete the classroom portion on-demand online at their convenience (while meeting learning milestones), with lab and clinical portions in person in Columbia, Maryland.
