  • We are thrilled to share that Sharon Faust, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Navitus, has been awarded the PBMI Innovator Award by Managed Healthcare Executive and Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute. This is a well-deserved recognition of her outstanding contributions to the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) industry. This award honors individuals who are driving meaningful change and delivering measurable results, bringing fresh insight and intelligence to the industry. Sharon has done exactly that – challenging the status quo, leading with vision and delivering impact that matters. In her years at Navitus, Sharon has spent over a decade building and managing Lumicera Health Services, one of the first cost-plus pharmacies in the nation, and championing transparency and PBM reform through policy advocacy and industry leadership. Under her leadership, Navitus has consistently controlled prescription drug cost trends, implementing lowest-net-cost and biosimilar strategies to help clients have clarity to actual drug costs and the value of their benefit. Please join us in congratulating Sharon for this incredible achievement and for setting a high bar on PBM innovation. • In pharmacy benefit management (PBM) contracting, precision matters. When key terms like "rebate", "discount" or "admin fee" are loosely defined or inconsistently used, it becomes difficult for clients to evaluate financial outcomes or hold partners accountable. At Navitus, clarity is built into our approach. We use consistent, well-defined terms in every contract to eliminate confusion and support transparency at every level of benefit design. Discover why contract language - among other factors - is a critical driver of PBM transparency in our latest blog: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.pow.ly/QvNn50Wy7T8

  • Transparency took center stage in Michigan last week — and Navitus was proud to participate in the conversation. At the 40th Annual Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP) Conference, Navitus Channel Partner Relationships Manager, Abigail Kraft, offered a closer look at the drug spend and utilization trends shaping pharmacy costs today and how our model is helping Michigan plans manage costs without compromising care. While the industry saw an 11.4% increase in drug spending in 2024, Navitus successfully held overall drug trend to just 7.0%, with 30% of our commercial clients experiencing a negative net total cost trend. What made the difference? Biosimilar conversions, aligned specialty pharmacy support and a 100% pass-through model that puts transparency first. If your PBM can’t show you the full picture, maybe it’s time to rethink your pharmacy benefit strategy. Contact us at sales@navitus.com to explore how we can help.

  • A transparent pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) should make it easy to understand where its revenue comes from. Yet in many traditional models, rebates are retained, spread pricing is used and fees are hidden - all of which increase costs for plan sponsors. At Navitus, we keep it simple: no hidden fees, no retained revenue, no surprises. Just measurable, transparent performance that keeps clients in control of their pharmacy benefits. Think your PBM is truly transparent? Learn how to evaluate it in our latest blog: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.pow.ly/QTNO50WuJZG

  • In recent years, “transparency” has become one of the most overused terms in the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) industry. It sounds good, but too often, it’s left undefined or used as a placeholder for promises that don’t hold up under scrutiny. Some PBMs offer partial transparency, leaving hidden revenue streams or vague contract terms in place. For plan sponsors and consultants, this raises an important question: How can you tell if your PBM’s version of transparency delivers its promises? Learn how you can evaluate whether your PBM is truly transparent — or just checking a box — in our latest blog: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.pow.ly/Ylpa50WqzMn.
