  • Subsea operations continue to evolve – and DeepOcean is proud to be part of the conversation at this year's Subsea Operations Conference in Haugesund, Norway, taking place 6-7 August. We are pleased to share that Johnny Lønning, Remote Operations Manager at DeepOcean, will host the "Onshore ROV Operations" presentation, on 6 August, at 15:45. Johnny will explore how onshore-controlled ROV operations are enabling safer, more efficient, and lower-emission subsea interventions – and the operational benefits this approach brings to offshore projects. If you are attending the Subops.no conference, we welcome you to connect with the DeepOcean team 📩 #DeepOcean #SubseaOperations #RemoteOperations #OffshoreEnergy

For more than 50 years we have developed the Norwegian continental shelf and created value both by producing oil & gas, and by creating ripple effects and jobs. We have developed large fields that serve as hubs and we add on by connecting smaller subsea fields nearby. This provides more oil & gas, which prolongs field life for the hub and make it economically feasible to develop smaller discoveries. In 1997, the Norne field came on stream. The field already has several tiebacks, and later this year the Verdande subsea field will come on stream, adding more than 35 million barrels of oil equivalents. This summer there is high activity in the Norwegian Sea, when subsea production systems, umbilical and pipeline are being installed. Some of this has been fabricated by OneSubsea in Moss and by Agility in Tønsberg.

  • June has been a busy month for corporate social responsibility activities by the DeepOcean team in Aberdeen, UK. Here are some of the highlights: ➡️ We sponsored the Dunecht Dash on 14 June. The funds raised were split between two local registered charities, Dunecht School and The Archie Foundation. The money for Dunecht Primary will go towards playground repairs and upkeep of the schools forest. Despite the torrential rain, Andrew Simpson won 1st place in his category, and ‘DeepOcean 1’ defended their title and were the overall winners of the Corporate Team Race 5k. Well done to all the little ones participating in the 2km children's race! It was a brilliant day and great to see so many people out supporting these charities! ➡️ We provided the Culter Youth Diamonds under-14 girls with a brand new football kit. They’ve been doing brilliant this season and a huge congratulations to them for reaching the Scottish Cup Semi-Final against Grampian United. Though they didn’t get the win, what a year they’ve had and we can't wait to see what they achieve next season! It’s been a great month supporting these causes. Swipe to see some of these achievements! 🙌🏼 #DeepOcean #TeamWork #CSRActivities

  • DeepOcean readies T1000 trencher for transformative 500+hp upgrade 🌊 DeepOcean announces a major upgrade to one of its state-of-the-art jet trenchers, the T1000, which will be transformed into the more powerful T1500+. The enhancement includes an additional 500 horsepower, with a supplementary 100hp boost function, significantly increasing the trencher’s capacity and performance. This marks a key step toward even more efficient seabed intervention operations. The upgraded T1500+ will be deployed on a dedicated vessel and is expected to be fully operational by February 2026. 💡 This upgrade reflects DeepOcean’s continued commitment to investing in leading-edge equipment to meet the evolving demands of the offshore energy industry, including the growing renewable energy segment. As subsea infrastructure becomes increasingly vital in the transition to sustainable energy, the T1500+ will offer enhanced efficiency, greater reliability, and improved performance across a wide range of trenching operations. #DeepOcean #Subsea #OffshoreTechnology #Engineering

  • A Deepwater Milestone in Norwegian Waters 🌊 DeepOcean has successfully completed the installation of a nearly 400-tonne Foundation Template Structure (FTS) for Equinor at 1350 meters water depth in the Irpa field – the deepest field on the Norwegian continental shelf. The operation was carried out by the Edda Freya, showcasing her world-class capabilities with a complex single fall lift, utilizing approximately 95% of the crane’s capacity. The FTS was installed within extremely tight tolerances, demonstrating engineering precision and operational excellence. DeepOcean has been providing engineering, project management and subsea installation of the foundation template structure at the Irpa field and a suction anchor at Aasta Hansteen field centre in the Norwegian Sea. This marks a major milestone for the project, DeepOcean, and our partners – proving what can be achieved when innovation, experience, and collaboration come together offshore 🤝 #DeepOcean #Subsea #OffshoreTechnology #Engineering

  • This June we were proud to welcome 24 new remote operated vehicle (ROV) trainees and three equipment technician trainees to the DeepOcean team! 🙌🏼 🌊 The trainee program started with a great kick-off event in Haugesund, Norway, where they had the opportunity to learn more about the company, visit our office in Karmsundgata and workshop at Killingøy, have a tour at the Remote Operations Centre (ROC), and meet with our long-time technology partner, Kystdesign. As part of the onboarding, the trainees have already completed a series of training courses to prepare them for their journey ahead in subsea operations. We are excited to follow their development and see the valuable contributions they will bring to our projects across the globe. Welcome to the team! 🚀 #DeepOcean #SubseaCareers #ROV #OffshoreEnergy
