  • Scammers are targeting job seekers. Don’t fall for it. 🚨 We're aware that some job seekers have been approached with fraudulent recruitment offers from false Bird representatives claiming to fast-track visa applications or requesting personal data upfront. These offers are scams aiming to deceive and steal from victims. Bird will never ask for payment, Social Insurance Numbers (SINs), or photocopies of passports during any recruitment efforts. We take this matter seriously and are committed to raising awareness to protect job seekers from falling prey to these scams. Stay vigilant and don't engage if you suspect fraudulent communication. All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from Bird are always required to go through a formal recruitment process. Additionally, all of our communications will come from our official email domain (@bird.ca). For legitimate career opportunities, always visit our official website at careers.bird.ca.

  • We were proud to sponsor both the Nunavut Housing Forum in Iqaluit and the Arctic Development Expo in Inuvik: two events focused on driving meaningful progress in housing, infrastructure, and community well-being across Canada’s North. We were pleased to contribute to conversations on the importance of increasing capacity, reducing bottlenecks, and enabling training opportunities that build long-term resilience and support local self-determination. Our Senior Director of Offsite Solutions, Kevin Read, joined the panel “Prefab, Fast, and Future-Ready” in Iqaluit, where we shared insights on how modular and offsite construction can help meet urgent regional needs. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, the communities who welcomed us so warmly, and everyone we had the pleasure of connecting with. We remain deeply committed to working in partnership with Indigenous and northern communities to help build a more sustainable, inclusive future across the Arctic. • At Bird, giving back to our communities is something we take to heart. We’re proud to partner with the Covenant Foundation to help champion seniors’ care in Alberta, not just during Seniors’ Month, but all year long. Our volunteers, including Katlyn Kragnes and Heather Streefkerk, kicked off Seniors’ Month by spending a wonderful afternoon with residents at the Edmonton General Hospital. From lively Vegas-themed games to music and refreshing mocktails, it was a great way to connect and share a few laughs together. A heartfelt thank you to the Covenant Health team for having us, we look forward to many more moments like this!

Today, I was proud to announce over $180 million in critical investments to expand correctional capacity at the Niagara Detention Centre, the Cecil Facer Youth Centre in Sudbury, and the Vanier Centre for Women in Milton. These investments are about more than buildings — they’re about safety, accountability, and peace of mind for Ontario families. Under the strong leadership of Premier Doug Ford we’re taking decisive action to protect Ontario and keep dangerous offenders off our streets and behind bars — where they belong.
