From AFESU to Schneider Electric: Empowering Women in STEM I’m proud to share how Schneider Electric’s Access to Training initiative, led by the Schneider Electric Foundation and Schneider Electric Youth Impact Through Learning, is opening doors for those who need it most. In Brazil alone, over 50,000 young people received training in 2024, and that momentum is only growing in 2025. Some of our most inspiring projects include: • UNILINS bringing training programs into prisons • Barco Escola, a floating school reaching remote Amazon communities • Afesu - Associação Feminina de Estudos Sociais e Universitários a school dedicated to empowering young women in STEM I want to spotlight AFESU, because our commitment goes beyond training. At Schneider Electric, we don’t just prepare these young women to become changemakers, we welcome them into our team. Thanks to close collaboration with our HR colleagues, eight AFESU graduates have joined Schneider Electric Brazil. This is what real impact looks like: creating opportunities, building futures, and making a difference both inside and beyond our company. At Schneider, we put people first. 🔦 Project Spotlight: Circularity in Action at HSD 🎓   We are proud to spotlight a meaningful collaboration with Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, where innovation meets education.   As part of our commitment to #circularity and hands-on learning, with our Equipment Donations program, Schneider Electric recently donated a #PowerLogic P7 protection device to HSD’s Department of Electrical & Information Technology. 🌟 Lighting the Way for Young Women in Tech 🌟 In Brazil, we’re proud of our partnership with Afesu - Associação Feminina de Estudos Sociais e Universitários As part of our Youth Education and Entrepreneurship program, supported by the Schneider Electric Foundation, we launched a new technical and digital courses that will benefit 125 young women: 💡 Internet of Things (IoT) ⚡ Basic Electricity 🌱 Renewable Energy This initiative builds on a strong foundation: 174 girls aged 14 to 17 have already received professional training tailored to their needs through our partnership with #AFESU. 💻 Now, with access to digital training in electricity and numeracy, 60 students have already completed the first module - unlocking a world of new possibilities. By providing technical and vocational training, future-ready skills, and entrepreneurial support, tailoring our initiatives to promote gender equality and support marginalized groups and forcibly displaced communities. This milestone reflects the power of strategic partnerships, hands-on learning, and a shared commitment to an inclusive energy transition. 🌟 Breaking Barriers, Empowering Futures 🌟 Schneider Electric and the Schneider Electric Foundation, in proud partnership with Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc., hosted “Transforming Limiting Beliefs: Empowering Young Minds”, a full-day immersive experience held in Cavite. We welcomed 19 students and 2 mentors from #DualTech for a day of inspiration, mentorship, and growth. The event kicked off with a powerful keynote from LeDon Brooks, VP Global Hub, who underscored Schneider Electric’s global mission to drive sustainability and empower youth through education and upskilling. Norman Roland Ocana III, Head of Government Affairs and Territory Sustainability Leader, further emphasized the strength of our collaboration with DualTech and the vital role of creating opportunities for Filipino youth to thrive. ✅Throughout the day, students engaged in interactive workshops, 1-on-1 mentoring sessions at our Global Competency Centre, and activities designed to challenge limiting beliefs and unlock their full potential. They even engaged in a lighthearted tournament of Rock, Papper, Scissors for some fun. 💡 A standout moment was hearing from Vimarar, a DualTech alumnus now thriving as a supervisor at Schneider Electric, an inspiring testament to the power of belief and opportunity. From Waste to Oppertunities: Circularity Driving Youth⚡♻️ The world is facing two urgent challenges: a growing e-waste crisis and a widening energy skills gap. At Schneider Electric, we’re addressing both, through circularity and youth upskilling. As part of our Youth Impact Through Learning initiative, our Equipment Donation Program gives a second life to electrical and automation equipment. Egypt, a country of over 110 million people, is at a pivotal moment in its development journey. With a youth population exceeding 60%, the country faces both a challenge and an opportunity: how to equip its young people with the skills needed for a rapidly evolving labor market. 📈 While #Egypt has made significant strides in infrastructure, energy, and education reform, challenges remain. These include high youth unemployment, skills mismatch between graduates and market needs, and limited access to quality vocational training. Yet, this landscape also presents fertile ground for innovation, especially through public-private partnerships that can bridge the gap between education and employment.💡 🤝 A Transformative Partnership: In response to these challenges Schneider Electric Foundation, the IECD Egypt and Schneider Electric Egypt, have joined forces with Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education to transform vocational education. 🚀 Our Impact so far across Egypt: - IECD Egypt has supported 5 vocational schools - 10,000 students empowered by the program since 2016 - 1,800+ students benefited from equipment - 400+ students enrolled in Electro Misr Technical school since 2019, around 30% of the enrolled students are females. 🌱 This initiative is more than just a training program—it’s a model for sustainable development. By aligning education with real-world needs, it empowers youth, strengthens industries, and supports Egypt’s broader economic goals. It also demonstrates how corporate social responsibility, when paired with local expertise and government support, can create a lasting impact.
