In 1984, a group of Bardi and Jawi people walked out of the Lombadina Catholic Mission on Western Australia’s Dampier Peninsular to establish their own free community of Djarindjin. We landed at Djarindjin in 1986. In the hands of the late Mr Percy Sibisado. Much turmoil existed back then but so proud of how the two communities co existed and moved forward to such a great legacy♥️
