Wynn Resorts releases its 2024 Environmental, Social and Governance Report and the 2024 Corporate Responsibility Review, detailing the initiatives and milestones that reflect a commitment to sustainability, employee development, and philanthropy.   Highlights from 2024 include:   The Wynn Resorts Foundation raised $1.3 million through the participation of 3,200 employees—its largest fundraising year to date.   34% of the electricity used to power Wynn’s North American resorts in 2024 came from renewable sources.   The Company invested in a second solar project in Nevada, providing Wynn Las Vegas with 20 megawatts of renewable power.   Wynn Resorts launched Wynn University to grow and develop the skills that make our employees best-in-class.   For more information on our responsibility programs, please view the reports here. #Wynn #WynnLasVegas

We are all deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Elaine Wynn, and send our condolences to her daughters, grandchildren, and her many close friends. As co-founder and one of the largest shareholders of Wynn Resorts, she helped to create and grow the company to become the most esteemed luxury resort brand in the world. Her many talents and special touches are indelibly imprinted on the company and still evident throughout our resorts.   Elaine cared deeply about the employees of our resorts. The current and former employees who worked alongside her to create Wynn and Encore Las Vegas cherish the many fond memories they have of her, especially of when they opened Wynn Las Vegas with her 20 years ago this month.   She was a tireless advocate for Las Vegas, for children and their education, and for the arts. We’re grateful that the enduring sense of philanthropy she instilled in our company continues to this day.

Congratulations to Cristie Norman, lead sommelier of Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas, and Casa Playa Executive Chef Sarah Thompson, who received James Beard Foundation Award finalist nods for Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service and Best Chef Southwest, respectively.  It has been over a decade since a food and beverage professional from Las Vegas won the award. However, thanks to the accomplishments of Norman and Thompson, this year looks very promising. A toast to one of our very best, Cristie Norman, lead sommelier of Delilah Las Vegas, who the 2025 James Beard Foundation Awards have recognized as a semifinalist in the Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service category. Norman is a wine educator and sommelier, creator of the "Online Wine Course for Beginners," named Wine Enthusiast's “Wine Educator of the Year “and “40 Under 40 Tastemakers” of 2020. She is the co-founder and president of the United Sommeliers Foundation (USF), which has distributed nearly 2 million dollars in financial assistance for Wine Professionals in need due to circumstances beyond their control. Congratulations to Casa Playa Executive Chef Sarah Thompson on being named a James Beard Foundation Award Semifinalist for Best Chef Southwest.
