UTA became the first agency to launch a department dedicated to digital talent nearly 20 years ago. Today, we continue to lead the industry, representing talent and brands at the forefront of the $250 billion creator economy. Last week, we hosted our second Creators Career Summit, a day of connection, conversation, and networking designed to cultivate the next generation of creators and the people who represent them. The summit included panels with talent, UTA agents, managers, attorneys, assistants, and early career professionals that explored the business of creator representation. Attendees, who came from all over the U.S., also got an insider’s look at how UTA helps digital-native talent expand their influence in entertainment, media, and commerce, as well as trends related to the creator economy's ongoing evolution. “From evaluating brand fit to knowing when it’s time to expand into new verticals, every conversation was rooted in the economics of smart, sustainable partnerships,” said attendee Griffin Cleveland. “I left with a much clearer view of how UTA Creators helps talent grow strategically in an ever-changing media world.” 📷: David Grit

Our CEO David Kramer met with students from his alma mater, The University of Georgia, as part of its Grady LA Field Study and Internship Program. Students learned about the business of representation and how UTA has grown its platform to serve clients across every facet of entertainment and culture, from filmed entertainment, comedy touring, and music to the creator economy, sports, and brands. (Fun fact: One UGA alum who attended this session last year, Taylor Maris, is now an assistant in the Talent department after starting in UTA’s Agent Training Program.) They also learned about David’s journey to becoming CEO, which began in the mailroom as an agent trainee. One of the key lessons David learned early in his career: Listen and read everything that pertains to your field of interest. He shared how he spent his earliest days at UTA reading everything he could — immersing himself in great scripts and the people bringing them to life.

UTA continues to solidify its leadership in comedy with the outsized presence of our clients in Variety’s Summer Comedy Issue, including Creative Impact Honoree and cover star Nikki Glaser. “Nikki is more than just a stand-up — she’s a multi-faceted talent, fearless in every format, and poised to win in every category,” says UTA’s Nick Nuciforo (Partner & Head of Comedy Touring). Glaser carries the baton from fellow UTA clients Taylor Tomlinson and Jim Gaffigan, who received Variety’s Creative Impact honor in 2024 and 2023, respectively. Additionally, more than 20 other UTA clients are featured in this year’s Comedy Impact Report, including: Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, Bowen Yang, Brooke Averick and Connor Wood, David Stassen and Ike Barinholtz, Grace Kuhlenschmidt, Jen Statsky, Lucia Aniello & Paul W. Downs, Julianne Nicholson, Marc Maron, Matt Rogers, Mike Schur, Nate Bargatze, Nathan Fielder, Nick Kroll, Sarah Silverman, and Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. UTA is thrilled to announce that we have signed director and writer Emma Tammi for representation in all areas. Tammi is the filmmaker behind “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” the global hit from Universal and Blumhouse that became the highest-grossing film in Blumhouse history. Based on the wildly popular video game, the film opened to $80 million domestically despite a day-and-date streaming release, and went on to gross nearly $300 million worldwide. Tammi directed and co-wrote the feature, balancing suspense, world-building, and emotional stakes in a way that resonated far beyond genre audiences. She recently wrapped production on the hotly anticipated sequel, which is set for release December 5. Tammi made her feature directorial debut with “The Wind,” which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released by IFC Midnight. With a distinctive visual sensibility and talent for building tension across genres, Tammi has become a director known for surprising audiences. She will continue to be represented by John Burnham at Atlas Artists and her attorney Andrew Howard at Jackoway Austen. 📷: Ryan Green / Blumhouse

Comedy Touring Agent Jacob Luftglass is on Variety’s 2025 Comedy Impact Report! Luftglass is recognized for his work with comedians including Felipe Esparza, currently on a national tour and starring in the Netflix special “Raging Fool,” and global sensation Zakir Khan, who is set to make history as the the first Indian comedian to headline Madison Square Garden with a set performed entirely in Hindi. “The beauty is these comedians have audiences all over the world [and often there’s] a real demand for seeing something you don’t typically get in a live show,” Luftglass says. https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/g4iiYA3K

TV’s most-nominated? Right here at UTA. We’re celebrating more than 150 clients and their projects that collectively earned more than 200 Primetime and Creative Arts Emmy nominations this year. Notably, five series created and led by UTA clients — “Severance,” “The Studio,” “The White Lotus,” “Hacks,” and “Adolescence” — rank among 2025’s most-nominated, whether overall or for their platforms. This year’s nominations showcase how (once again) our clients are behind today’s most celebrated television. Congratulations to all of our clients whose work has defined an unforgettable year of TV!
