Our CEO David Kramer met with students from his alma mater, The University of Georgia, as part of its Grady LA Field Study and Internship Program. Students learned about the business of representation and how UTA has grown its platform to serve clients across every facet of entertainment and culture, from filmed entertainment, comedy touring, and music to the creator economy, sports, and brands. (Fun fact: One UGA alum who attended this session last year, Taylor Maris, is now an assistant in the Talent department after starting in UTA’s Agent Training Program.) They also learned about David’s journey to becoming CEO, which began in the mailroom as an agent trainee. One of the key lessons David learned early in his career: Listen and read everything that pertains to your field of interest. He shared how he spent his earliest days at UTA reading everything he could — immersing himself in great scripts and the people bringing them to life.
I just want to be someone’s assistant, a roadie, something for someone in the industry!
Too bad you need a degree because I would kill it at this job!
It was such an amazing meeting! Go Dawgs!
Go Dawgs! Thanks UTA!
How exciting! GO DAWGS!
But how many of them have it?
Go Dawgs! I love this! I’m an UGA alumni!
"Immersing himself..." I'm taking notes! ;-)
