2025 Summer Intern Spotlight Series: Meet Thomas, A rising senior at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Thomas is learning the Superintendent ropes at the St. Charles County Department of Corrections renovation project. “While working with my mentor and superintendent, Dan, I’ve learned a lot about how to properly manage a project that’s constantly changing. This experience has given me the opportunity to know exactly what it is we’re building. Being on an active project site has helped to enhance my communication skills, as I’ve grasped a better understanding for how to coordinate with numerous subcontractors, how to identify hazards on the jobsite and how to read and interpret different aspects of the project’s floor plans. 2025 Summer Intern Spotlight Series:  Meet Katt, a rising senior at Lindenwood University, who's spending her summer working with PARIC’s preconstruction team.    “Working with the preconstruction team has shown me just how critical estimating is in the world of general contracting. I was surprised by how essential relationship-building is for maintaining strong partnerships with owners and subcontractors and for securing future work. Without a reliable and transparent estimating team, it would be extremely difficult for PARIC to win new projects through the proposal process.  Visiting the Protoplex project at Missouri University of Science and Technology with the preconstruction team was valuable experience.  It was fascinating to see how PARIC’s active projects are progressing. Observing how on-site changes are managed gave me great insight into the dynamic nature of construction and increased my awareness of considerations for future bids within the preconstruction department.
