Situated near the mouth of the Grand River, the Idema Explorers Camp promises visitors an opportunity to connect with the outdoors and learn more about this unique coastal ecosystem. IA, alongside VIRIDIS Design Group, worked with the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission to design built elements of the campground. The Treehouse Village is made up of three elevated cabins with an interconnected boardwalk and a central outdoor fire pit. A modern restroom, shower, and camper amenity building supports visitors, adjacent to treehouses, yurts, and tent pad camping sites. A renovated welcome center, repurposed from the original mining office, stands at the entrance. Ottawa Sands has received two awards, the Michigan Recreation and Park Association 2025 Park Design Award and the 2025 National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) Award in Conservation.

Last week, IA and the Arcadia Community Center (ACC) team hosted the first of three Community Engagement Sessions focusing on creating a thoughtful, community-driven vision for the future of the ACC facility. As part of the planning and conceptual design discovery process, we invited the local community to join us and share their ideas and input on what they envision for the future of the ACC. We had great conversations with the group and look forward to building on this progress at our next engagement session!

Members of the community came together to show their love and support for Sullivan Field! First opened in 1937, Sullivan Field (formerly Valley Field) has been a mecca for baseball for decades, but over the years, it began to show signs of decay. We’re proud to partner with Fans of Valley Field and the City of Grand Rapids to help restore this historic neighborhood ballpark to its former glory, expand its offerings for additional use, and ensure that it can be enjoyed to its fullest potential by future generations. The Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) is embracing a new direction for its U.S. headquarters by relocating to a space that is more flexible and better connected to the community. As staffing models have changed and ministry practices have evolved in recent years, the CRCNA found itself in a building that no longer efficiently supported its operations. Integrated Architecture led the interior renovation of the new facility, which is designed to foster a collaborative environment that accommodates the organization’s mix of in-person, hybrid, and remote staff.

Today we are proud to celebrate Tim Mustert’s 35th work anniversary! As Architectural Principal, Tim leads both our office and projects to achieve the highest levels of excellence. His commitment to the people and the clients at Integrated Architecture has fostered an environment where teamwork thrives, building strong relationships that lay the foundation for individual and collective success.
