We don’t just treat ALS; we stand with those living it. As the largest and most comprehensive neuromuscular care center in Connecticut, we’re proud to provide care that goes beyond the diagnosis. Here, patients find more than appointments. They find a place built to meet most of their medical needs under one roof. And we’re proud to be 1 of only 4 centers in the nation to offer access to the groundbreaking Healy ALS Platform Trials, because our patients deserve every opportunity to fight, heal, and thrive. This is more than care. This is commitment. If you or a loved one are interested in learning more about how we care for ALS, visit our website at www.hfsc.org

With deep gratitude, we recently honored our founding families at our Donor Appreciation and Annual Meeting Reception, families whose vision helped shape our programs, including New England’s first adaptive sports camp. 35 years ago, Janeace Slifka launched the camp after her son Jonathan, born with spina bifida, was unable to access summer camp or sports opportunities. A chance meeting with tennis legend Ivan Lendl through the March of Dimes sparked a powerful partnership and laid the foundation for a groundbreaking, inclusive camp experience. Today, the camp welcomes over 45 young athletes from across New England each year, including children and young adults with autism, expanding our reach to create more equitable opportunities. We’re proud to carry on the Slifka family’s legacy of inclusion, support, and empowerment.

We were honored to gather for our Donor Appreciation and Annual Meeting Reception at the Bristol Event Center, an evening filled with meaningful conversation, thoughtful reflections, and a beautiful setting to match. Thank you to our generous donors, dedicated board members, and all who attended. Your ongoing support and presence are the driving force behind the growth of our programs and the impact we’re able to make. We’ve accomplished so much this year, and this gathering was a perfect way to celebrate those achievements together. Thank you to everyone who helped make it all possible!
