Board-level cannabis talent doesn’t get much sharper than this. If your company is ready to level up strategy, governance, or performance, this candidate has been in the trenches and knows what it takes. Reach out if this sounds like what your org needs. 💼🌿 #CannabisLeadership #BoardOfDirectors #CannabisBusiness #ExecutiveSearch #CannabisIndustry
🌶️ Good day to all of you. Hot candidate alert! 🌶️ ⭐ Board Advisor / Board (BoD) Member for Private or Public Operator I have a candidate who is an experienced independent board member looking to get involved at a Board level with a cannabis company that is looking for strategic insight from their board. ⭐ This candidate has been an NEO on the front lines of the cannabis industry growing large vertical operators, turning around vertical operators, making challenging decisions, building and rebuilding teams, deploying retail, production, and wholesale strategy. ⭐ A relentless focus on the metrics that matter for a going cannabis venture and then deploying strategy around execution that drives performance by departments and personnel at all levels of the business, this person gets it. ⭐ They don’t have to do this but it is worth noting that have also been a public board member before so they understand how to bring more rigor to your current companies board…setting up committees, cadence and structure to uplevel governance at the corporate level. Whether you are a public company wanting to refresh it a bit. -or- A private company wanting to get some perspective in there that can help determine the next steps for your business that aren't a service provider on retainer. -or- Or an investor led / operated business that needs some help to figure out how to unlock growth and create optionality for returns. Throwing out the 🎣 , Let me know who needs support here.

Enterprise organizations are already using predictive analytics to flag turnover risk, identify high performers, and make better talent decisions. Cannabis companies? Not quite there yet. But it’s coming 👀 In this clip from the "Is AI Part of Your Strategy? Using Tech to Strengthen Cannabis Operations & Profitability" panel at the Benzinga's Cannabis Capital Conference (June 10 in Chicago), FlowerHire CEO David Belsky shares how AI is making proactive people management possible - and why that matters for the future of cannabis companies. #CannabisIndustry #AI #PredictiveAnalytics #CannabisLeadership #Benzinga #CannabisJobs #FutureOfWork

Meet the FlowerHire team! Aisha Alves is a Market Director here at FlowerHire and a key player in the Florida cannabis scene 🌴 Check out her 2024 collectable card and a quick Q&A below ⬇️ 🔸 What’s the most in-demand skill or role in cannabis right now? The ability to report, analyze, and strategize on complex data is becoming a hot button skill for almost every role in cannabis, no matter what part of the vertical you're in. 🔸 What’s a common mistake job seekers make when applying for cannabis roles, and how can they fix it? Being a "Jack or Jill of all trades" has traditionally been an asset, especially in the early startup days of cannabis when small teams had to learn on the fly as they grew. Nowadays, however, as companies continue to develop more organizational structure, candidates must learn how to highlight specific functions based on whatever role they are interviewing for. If a candidate markets themself as a "Jack of all trades" the hiring manager often also thinks "master of none." Don't let that be you. 🔸 What’s one of your favorite questions to ask candidates during interviews?Let's fantasize together - think blue sky, what are the things that would make you say to a role "That's my dream job"? Is it a specific title you're working towards, a brand you love, or a region of the country you've been wanting to explore? This helps people get into a growth mindset and it helps ME understand what type of opportunities they'd be willing to pursue - beyond what is the logical next step in their resume. This is cannabis, people - aim HIGH! 🔸 What’s one piece of advice you wish every job seeker in cannabis knew? Don't expect it to be like your past jobs: you simply cannot compare working in Cannabis to anything else out there. Whether you are coming from CPG Brands, alcohol/tobacco/gaming, healthcare, or even the legacy market - sure, there will be similarities or insights that you can draw from those past experiences, but know that overall - it's going to be a BIG eye opener once you are in the door. #workingincannabis #cannabisjobseeker #jobseekertips

You can’t scale a cannabis business with the wrong people in the wrong roles. But it happens all the time. 🌿 A cultivation lead who crushed it at 5,000 sq ft… and gets promoted to 50,000. 📉 A finance hire with “cannabis experience”… who’s never handled 280E across 12 states. ⛔ A compliance director who talks the talk… but can’t build the systems to back it up. These aren’t bad employees. They’re just in over their heads. And it’s costing companies millions. The truth is, cannabis companies are scaling faster than the talent pipeline. Roles are evolving. And leaders are hiring for positions they’ve never filled before. So how do you avoid the skills mismatch trap? You think bigger than “cannabis experience.” You assess for what actually drives performance at scale, in this industry, right now. And you partner with people who know the difference between a flashy title and real ability. At FlowerHire, we’ve helped companies recover from the wrong hire, and avoid the wrong hire entirely. Here’s what’s really going on behind the scenes, and how to fix it before it costs you: 👉 5 ways mismatched skills are costing cannabis companies millions, and how to recover https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/gkStEKNw #hiring #cannabisjobs #cannabishr

As our team has grown and spread across the country, it was time to say goodbye to our Manhattan Beach HQ - a space that shaped our early years, grounded us during major transitions, and brought our values to life. From interviews and events to jam sessions and industry milestones, this office meant more than just desks and walls. Grateful to everyone who helped make it special 🧡🧡🧡
The FlowerHire team recently moved out of our physical HQ. Business is steady 💪 but as the team has migrated across the country this physical space no longer had the opportunity to serve its purpose. The office served as a soft landing when I had a separation from a co founder early on and had to find the right environment to rebuild the business with a core team. The office was a unicorn of a workplace where in a pre covid world a team would come in and feel fortunate to be there. The office was a place where the FlowerHire team had the opportunity to cement and demonstrate our values as a business: Community, Authenticity, Gratitude, and Execution. We welcomed in our cannabis executive friends and colleagues with open arms. Events, meetings, interviews, jbones. A lighthouse in the storm. It was that office that helped establish an identity for an institution. Here is the tribute video. Lots of cameo appearances! Marlon Coburn Bryant Bowens, MBA Damian Solomon Matt Nissenbaum Evan E. Julia's post is a reminder that success in cannabis (and beyond) isn’t just about talent. Adaptability, accountability, and a positive attitude go a long way in an industry that’s constantly evolving. Looking for newsletters to stay informed? Julia shared some great ones below and don’t forget to subscribe to ours at flowerhire.com. #cannabisnews #newsletters
Who else loves a great Newsletter?! I saw this quote recently that resonated with me in a weekly newsletter I follow by James Clear (of the book Atomic Habits) and wanted to share. ✨"Three qualities that have nothing to do with talent or intelligence, but can make a dramatic impact on your results: 𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒖𝒍. You are pleasant to work with and generally raise the level of energy in the room. 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆. You feel personally responsible for what you want to accomplish. It is not someone else's job. It's your job. 𝑨𝒅𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆. You can find alternate paths to success. You don't need things to be a certain way to be happy."✨ This got me thinking about the cannabis industry and how we're a community of constant learners trying to follow what's happening next and adapt to the changes as they come. Here are some great cannabis newsletters that I personally follow below. Which ones am I missing? Please share! 🟢 Highly Objective (Dai Truong) 🟢 The Pre Roll (Alex Lipnik) 🟢 Cultivated (Zack Huffman, Jeremy Berke, Jay Rosenthal) 🟢 Marijuana Moment 🟢 MJ Biz Daily 🟢 The Lab Report (Cannabis LAB - Association of Cannabis Industry Professionals) And of COURSE: FlowerHire's Newsletter (https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.pflowerhire.com/ scroll to the bottom to subscribe)!
