Last week, our East Aurora Quality, Safety, Regulation & Consumer Services teams donated toys and cards to the WNY Foster Closet as part of our Play it Forward initiative. The WNY Foster Closet is an all-volunteer, donation-based organization that is a 501c3 not-for-profit. They collect very gently used and new items to give to children who have been removed from their home and placed in foster care, kinship or 1017 living situations. Registered families can come to the closet and “shop” for clothing, shoes, hygiene items, diapers, school supplies, and more free of charge. We are proud to support local organizations like the WNY Foster Closet throughout the WNY area.

This week we celebrated Play it Forward global volunteer week and International Day of Play! Employees at our East Aurora campus volunteered throughout the community with John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, FeedMore WNY, and Habitat for Humanity Buffalo. Additionally, our interns packed 75 play kits for local organizations, we built two Little Libraries with Save the Children US and our Quality teams made a toy donation to the WNY Foster Closet. We are thrilled to be able to support our local community and look forward to continuing to #PlayitForward!

Yesterday we welcomed our 2025 Summer Interns to the East Aurora campus! It was also the kickoff for Play it Forward week, and we wanted to make sure that they were able to get in on the fun. The interns packed 75 play kits that will be distributed to children in need around the Western New York area this summer. We are so excited for the coming weeks with our interns and look forward to sharing more of their journey throughout the summer.
