“We just need to get FDA clearance and then people will have access to this promising treatment, right?!” … That’s what I thought a few years ago (and what many people still think) The Truth: Patient Accessibility becomes a reality only when someone is willing to pay for it. The Good news: There is an *entire ecosystem* of experts in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR). These individuals help decision makers evaluate efficacy, health care savings, and patient #qualityoflife improvements of existing and emerging therapies. These are things that we (including Scott Blackman) think about on a daily basis in BrainsWay Medical Affairs and Market Access.
