Celebrating 7 Weeks of Connection Through Nature ⛰️   A big thank you to everyone involved in making our latest Connect Outdoors with Community InfoSource a success, especially our committed hikers! Over the past 7 weeks, hikers explored Scotland's outdoors, guided by Mhor Outdoor.   Highlights: Cathkin Braes | Conic Hill | Dumfoyne | Beinn Dubh | Kirkton Glen | Beinn Ghlas | Chatelherault Country Park   We were also joined by:  Laura Curtis-Moss from the The John Muir Trust, sharing insights on conservation 🌏 Our Tiso colleague Matt for gear tips 🥾 Mountaineering Scotland, teaching mountain safety & navigation 🧭 This project wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of our funders: The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Patagonia, Montane Ltd, Rab, and Berghaus Ltd.   Let’s continue building inclusive, outdoor experiences that empower communities and foster care for Scotland’s wild places. #MyTiso

Today we celebrate our co-founder reaching the remarkable milestone of ninety. Born on the Isle of Eigg in 1935, Maude developed an early interest in the Scottish mountains - an interest that quickly grew into a lifelong passion for climbing, exploration, and conservation. In the 1950s, while studying in Edinburgh, she reassured her parents about camping with the climbing club: “Don’t worry, at night we put more clothes on!” Later, while working as a biochemist in Norway, she intrepidly rode her scooter solo from Oslo to Nordkapp - a journey of almost 2,000 km. Her adventures have taken her to some of the world’s most remote regions, including the Himalayas, Greenland, Svalbard, the Australian outback, and rarely visited parts of the Amazon basin. Yet Scotland remains her home and first love. It was here, in 1962, that she co-founded the company that still bears her late husband’s name. A wife, mother, proud grandmother, and continued inspiration to many, she established the values that still define Tiso today. Wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Maude - and thank you for your remarkable contribution to the Scottish outdoor community. Team Tiso💚

Bleubird Co 🤝 Tiso Group Proud to see this come to life. All great partnerships take time - I first reached out to the Tiso team back in October 2021 (my second month at Bleubird Co). We have been back and forth ever since, catching up at Tiso HQ, hosting the team at Outdoor Trade Show (OTS) and trading emails every other month since. Fast forward to Feb 2025 - Bleubird has launched into the Perth, Aviemore and Keswick stores and sitting alongside industry icons like YETI (Jack Aitken), Patagonia, Rab (Matt Bengey), Fjällräven and BARTS. Thanks again to the Tiso Group team for their trust in brining us on as a partner - glad to see we're off to a successful start!!
