They say being a founder is one of the hardest jobs, and they aren’t wrong. But it’s also one of the most rewarding. Today, Jean-Baptiste Chaput and I are proud to announce our $5.1 million fundraise from investors who share our bold vision and customer-centric approach. It comes with an expanded product vision driven by Olto’s AI tech that seeks to truly understand how a product works, not just what it looks like. Being the founder of an AI-native product has been a fascinating journey. It’s like building a the infrastructure of a city while the composition of the raw materials used in construction change under your feet. But I could not be more proud of what we have accomplished. One of my biggest realizations (something I already knew but has been reinforced) has been the power of customer obsession. My background comes as an Amazon executive managing large teams to build delightful products and fast-growing businesses at Amazon (Music, Podcasts, IMDb and more). In the past couple of years, I’ve been doing a lot of work that, in the past, would have been delegated. Things like attending 427 customer discovery meetings -Taking 56 flights (thank you to Frontier Airlines for founder-friendly fares :-)) -Having an in depth conversation with Snoop Dog (may be, I wouldn't have delegated that ;-)) -Hosting 27 dinners with 300+ participants. The result of this customer facing work? An incredible understanding on the ecosystem, space, and day to day of the customers we serve. This journey made one thing clear. Building the world’s first AI demo engineer was just the spark. The real magic lies in helping every GTM team show the most relevant version of their product instantly, and in any channel. Live demos that feel tailor-made. Website tours that move beyond static screens. Outbound assets that bring the product to life for every prospect.
