In 2021, Lidia Navarro and I built our very first handmade prototype because not trying to solve the problem—that up to 1 in 3 breast cancers are still missed by a technology that hasn’t evolved since the 1960s—just seemed too crazy. 4 years and a €3M seed round later, The Blue Box Biomedical Solutions has grown far beyond our wildest dreams in those early days. I feel extremely proud of the incredible work of a team from whom I learn every single day, and who pour all their energy into tackling a problem that affects ourselves and 50% (!!) of the world’s population. Now, the real work—and the real fun—begins.
