As the year comes to a close and I reflect on the past 12 months and the 2nd full-year in business for Spacegoods, I wanted to highlight some of the wins for once - I am very very hard on myself and often dwell on everything that goes wrong or mistakes I made (of which there were many things this year, and I could make a much longer list!), but looking forward to 2025, here's some highlights for this year 🤭 📈 Just shy of 3x up on last year 📦 Over 200k orders online 💷 Reached 8-figures in revenue 🎨 Launched 3x new flavours of hero product Rainbow Dust 🧪 Expanded into a new format with Moon Chews for the first time ♻️ Moved to 100% recyclable packaging 🛍️ Launched into 1200+ retail stores which is an entirely new channel for us! 🏆 Best-seller in our H&B category 🔁 Reached £750k+ in MRR 🫂 Grew the team from 4 to 11 💡 Appointed a super experienced NED ❤️ Reached 4k+ 5-star trustpilot reviews 🇪🇺 Hit 7 figures in Europe 🎯 Got super clear on product & brand vision for 2025  🧱 Hired a few key roles starting in Q1 (including an MD) to professionalise the team ready for the next chapter I am not one to really ever post or share the wins, but in the spirit of being the ever rational-optimist founder I think it's important to zoom out every now and then and reflect on the progress we've made as a team 🧱 We are just getting started and 2025 will be a much bigger one, merry Christmas everyone 🍄

At National Retail Federation 2025, and excited to sense this vibrant indistry going through such a reinvention. After hearing different perspectives of leaders at companies like Macy's Target PATTERN Beauty Nordstrom Tommy Hilfiger Walmart Best Buy the LEGO Group IKEA Whole Foods Market Steve Madden Kendra Scott, my key learnings from this year are: - Store configuration adjusted to local communities - It’s a WIn-Win-Win (for Commuinity, Employees and the Business) - Marketing to be positive and celebrate humanity (as opposed to threat human flaws) - Retail is human - Regardless AI, this is still an industry where people need people, and Tech should enable that (not try to replace human touch, necessarily) - Being transparent with the customer (in Supply Chain flaws, for instance) really incentives confidence in the brands. - Strive for Adaptability: is the new norm, in an environment where expectations form Customers, Stakeholders, Employees and Suppliers require more flexibility than ever due to uncertain times. - Stores are Irreplaceable: A good experience designed around emotional value and bonfire moments, generates solid revenue impact. Spaces are not only to sell, but also to deliver experience and generate memorable moments. - Interactions to build community matter: Having a purpose, and reflecting it with the interactions in the community where store is located, is really important. “neighborhood store” is a clear trend even with big retailers.
