Before becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent, Brian Brakefield served in the Clayton County Police Department and Army National Guard. "I'd always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but I wasn't certain the skills I had built throughout my career in policing and the military would position me to be successful as a small business owner.” Visiting a local State Farm agent, Brian realized his passion for service and leadership could translate into an agent career, inspiring him to open his first office in 2010. "I focus on being a good leader and steward of the community. I have a genuine desire to take care of people — that’s where I feel most successful as a State Farm agent.” Brian expresses the fulfillment he feels in witnessing the accomplishments of his team after launching his second agent office in 2023. “When my business thrives, so does my team, both financially and in life. It’s so rewarding to watch them grow, develop, and reach their goals.” Learn more about becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/giWjAvk9

1moI am 22 years office Staff manager and I feel this office is coming to an end due to the age of my agent. I don't know what my next move is. Or if I should take the step that you took. This year will be his sixty year as an agent, and we're very old school still in this office any advice. I'm on the fence about being an agent, and i'm really hesitant moving to another agent's office as agent Staff. i'm so conflicted. Is there anyone out there that has had the same situation I have, that their agent retired, and they moved on to other agents offices as staff? I feel like the end of this year things will change and I don't know what to do. :-)
