Q: How would you explain your job to a 5 year old? A: Wow, okay. To a 5 year old, I would say: I'm working for the best company in the world. We're going to take over the world and make it better: We make it easier for companies and people to update their software and keep it secure. My job is to help the person that determines how we're going to approach our customers and sell our products. I have to make sure she is able to comfortably do her job, and everyone around her in the organization is taken care of and successful! Q: How are you able to kick so high?! A: I don't exercise much and actually am a very lazy person in that regard, but I was a dancer when I was young, so I think I'm just flexible. This kick is a visual metaphor to show we aim high and are set to get there! Q: What's your favorite JFrog memory? A: When COVID hit, we suddenly transitioned from working in the office five days a week to working from our homes, separating us from our colleagues during the pandemic. I heard someone knocking on my door and got a text message from my manager saying, “Good morning! I know what you need...” and I found a milkshake and brownies at my door. It was from JFrog and it was a really kind gesture in making me feel appreciated and taken care of. Q: Why would you encourage someone to work at JFrog? A: JFrog offers an environment for individuals to be the best versions of themselves. We provide conditions for continuous growth. Meet Samuel - Samuel applied for a Salford Futures placement with Salford City Council's EDI team, supported by our Supported Employment Service. Samuel and two others attended an informal interview that included a few questions and a practical task. Samuel’s Excel skills lead to him securing the placement! Samuel shared: "The process was streamlined, and I appreciated that the interview was not typical. The practical task was a great way to showcase my skills. Not having a formal dress code during the interview made me feel at ease and comfortable. I would recommend this process to others." Ahead of starting the placement, Carmel, HR & OD Partner for EDI, met with Samuel to plan the first two weeks and show him the workspace. Samuel’s positive experience showcases the supportive and inclusive approach of the Salford Futures placement process, with the combined efforts of Salford City Council and our Supported Employment Service.
