NPPG’s Post

On Tuesday, June 17, our Founder & CEO, Michael M. Salerno, took the stage at Georgetown University Center for Retirement Initiatives 2025 Policy Innovation Forum. He was a featured speaker on Panel 3: “Strength in Numbers: Are Pooled Employer Plans Reshaping the Retirement Market?” Michael joined a panel of respected industry innovators from Aon, Vestwell, and Gallagher, with the conversation moderated by former PBGC Director Charles Millard. The session sparked insightful dialogue around how PEPs are driving broader retirement coverage through reduced costs and streamlined compliance. Key take-aways shared • PEPs as a coverage catalyst—lower costs + streamlined compliance—are making it easier for employers who haven’t historically offered retirement plans to enter the system. • Operational wins—single Form 5500, consolidated audit and streamlined administration for adopting employers. • Innovation at scale—emergency-savings sidecars and lifetime-income menus will become feasible when thousands of participants pool assets.  Thank you to Georgetown CRI for hosting NPPG and our fellow panelists for the spirited exchange, and everyone who filled the room with thoughtful questions. If you’d like a deeper dive into how PEPs can boost retirement readiness—or a copy of Michael’s talking points—drop us a message. Let’s keep the conversation going! #PEP #Retirement #SecureAct #401k #FinancialWellness #Innovation #GeorgetownCRI #NPPG #YourNeedsOurExperts
