AI can write a lot of code, but it can't own the outcome. That's why now, the developer's role is more critical than ever. 🧠 Code review has become less about finding syntax errors and more about validating logic, ensuring quality, and thinking critically about the "why" behind the code. The AI can suggest, but the developer will always—and should always—own the merge button. Learn more why your expertise, curiosity, and ownership are your greatest assets in an AI-powered world. 💡 https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/gQkT59pR

yep we are moving programmers to reviewers, I am certainly spending 10X more time on reviewing code written by AI than I am writing code myself any longer. Even on rather novel software requirements, AI is playing a powerful role in creating the final product. On everyday tasks, it owns most of them nowadays. Its an exciting and frighting time to be in software!
AI is empowering broader participation in development, but it's also leading to scenarios where inexperienced users generate code that experienced developers later need to fix, often causing unnecessary friction..

At Crescenton, we echo this perspective. AI is an incredible tool for accelerating development, but the responsibility—and the final decision—must always remain with the developer. Code reviews are evolving from syntax checks to strategic discussions around logic, design, and intent. In this new era, expertise, curiosity, and ownership aren’t just valuable—they’re essential. We're committed to building a future where AI enhances productivity, but developers lead with purpose.
Absolutely agree! AI is a fantastic tool for code generation, but the human touch is essential for understanding the deeper nuances and broader impact of our work. Developers are the visionaries, the ones who bring creativity and ownership to every final product.
It's nice for GitHub to be the last bastion of developers!
AI assists, but developers ensure logic, quality, and true innovation every time.
Such a key shift, AI can accelerate output, but it’s human judgment that ensures it’s the right output. Ownership, critical thinking, and context remain irreplaceable.
