Solar tech improves on cloudy days at former landfill

My name is Andrew Gorder. I'm the head of projects that fuse and I lead all of our renewable energy project development work. So currently I'm standing in Natalie N Solar Farm. I'm located near Southampton in the South of the UK. So This site is around about 6000 PV panels and for about 20 years this was an active landfill. Now that means that this land is not suited for purposes such as making top public park or agricultural or to be honest many other various usages for brownfield land such as yourself. Yearly this site would produce a little bit less than 6000 MW hours. That is enough to essentially meet the energy demand of around about 2000 households. So energy from This site is generated here, exported into the National Grid of the UK and from there it essentially is transported all throughout the UK to our end customers. People normally associate solar panels and solar farms with places like Australia. Some places in the US typically, and historically that was the case. You know, those places with higher ratings would generate more power. With new technology, it allows the efficiency and all of the energy that is possibly ever produced by the sun to be captured in the most optimum way. What this means is that even in places such as the UK where it's not as sunny as some of the rest of the world, solar still can generate enough to essentially be a valuable contributor to the energy mix in the UK. Fuse Energies vision is essentially to support the world as it transitions to renewable energy.
