1wWhenever I see or hear the word 'tobacco’, I can't help but think back to the 1950s controversy, when early studies first linked smoking to lung cancer and the industry responded with aggressive PR and lobbying campaigns. That history always comes to mind when I see modern regulatory discussions like this one. Later, the Chantix to Champix controversies…first over neuropsychiatric side effects and more recently over product recalls due to impurities showed how even smoking cessation tools can face major challenges. Hope that we are learning from that history and moving toward a healthier future.
