Passenger and employee safety is very important. However, so is the financial safety of passengers. We just discovered that credits for cancelled flights (in our case, due to a death of an immediate family member) - that Delta "expires" the credits and rescinds the cash. No alerts or warnings are given. My companion and I had E-Credits of $2,005 each plus older E-credits. Gone. A Complaint was filed and we were offered just 50% back - also with expiration dates.

Hey @Delta, There’s no easy way to cancel—even for fully refundable tickets. I spent hours on chat and tried canceling 9 days before travel. Still no confirmation. This was due to a medical emergency—my travel companion was hospitalized with severe bleeding and needs surgery. Recovery will take weeks. Delta Air Lines lost my baggage on Flight DL1045 from LAX to SEA on July 1st, and even your app shows that it was never loaded onto the plane. Every other passenger received their bags — mine was the only one missing. That bag isn’t just luggage. It contains over $6,000 worth of items I’ve collected over years, including all the clothes and essentials for my parents, who are here on vacation.
