Listening to these comments in the video you can see a common thread that “serving others” has AT LEAST a 2-fold benefit……..it obviously benefits the one being served, AND it also benefits the one serving!! Lesson to be learned: it’s always a WIN-WIN to serve.

Exactly right. Debate the issues at hand and policies a potential administration might implement to improve the nation. Similarly, Veteran service could use some light shining to understand how it adds to a person's potential capability and experience rather than being a nebulous entry on a resume. It's my hope that people can better understand that military service can vary from person to person pretty dramatically. Thus the experience and perspective of each Veteran can apply differently to a given organization. Ask questions!
This election is historic for yet another reason: it’s the first time two GWOT veterans - both enlisted, to boot - have been on a presidential ticket running against each other. They couldn’t be more opposite, politically speaking, but my hope is Senator Vance and Governor Walz create a precedent of sticking to substantive differences rather than attacking each other’s military service. With <1% of the U.S. population serving in our Armed Forces in a given year and ~5% of the total population being veterans, service should be commended.
