My day-to-day job here at the zoo is I take care of the animals, I take care of all the ambassador animals. I go out for programs and events and birthday parties and off sites events, so all the trained animals. So I do a lot of training with all them to make sure they're nice and comfortable with going off site and train them to show these behaviors, to show guests like all their natural behaviors in their environment that they might show off. Besides the animals, my favorite part about working here at the zoo, specifically as an ambassador keeper, is just getting to talk to the public as much as I do. I really like being that kind of boots on the ground like frontline of like interacting with the guests and teaching them about fun facts about animals and conservation messages. Really like seeing their faces light up, you know, as I bring them like a fun new interesting animal to whether it's like a birthday party I might be making a kids day or teaching older adults about fun facts about something they might see in their own backyard. My favorite memory of working here at the zoo so far was probably my First off site event that I ever did is we have a partnership with CHKD. The Children's Hospital nearby there, we brought a sloth and the 2 cannon armadillo and that was just really like nice and exciting to be able to bring animals off grounds to the Children's Hospital and showing us lost to a room full of kids and their families was just a lot of fun. And I always remember that. And my favorite part about being the zookeeper is just building the relationship with all the animals.
