Americares launches climate resilience toolkit for health centers in…

Today, we were proud to celebrate the launch a new climate resilience toolkit to help health centers protect patients from the growing health risks of extreme weather in the Philippines. Americares Philippines Country Director Paul Gwyn Pagaran and Secretary of Health Dr. Teodoro J. Herbosa from the Department of Health (Philippines) unveiled the new toolkit at a recent ceremony to highlight this new resource. Developed by Americares and Harvard C-CHANGE with support from Johnson & Johnson, the toolkit includes practical, evidence-based guidance on responding to extreme heat, floods, and typhoons—and is available in English, Tagalog, Ilocano and Cebuano. Available to all 3,800 health facilities across the Philippines, the toolkit equips frontline health workers with the tools they need to deliver care in the face of a changing climate.
