- In this video, we'll look at how to structure the first week of the onboarding program. It's a crucial time because new hires will be feeling anxious and overwhelmed, so structure and useful information will massively enhance their experience. The first week is a sacred moment for sales leaders. It should not be neglected in favor of less important day-to-day duties. It is crucial to align with your leadership team on this and block out time in their calendar if needed. During the first week, let the new hire focus on observation and orientation. There should be dedicated time for them to meet with their new team members, soak up the environment, and help them orient themselves in their new role. This includes orienting them towards their new customer by sharing useful case studies. Learning activities during this week are less important because new hires are only new once.
