- I use compressors all the time, even for non-broadcast audio. Compressors help me give my audio punch and clarity in the mix. In Premiere Pro, we can use the multi-band compressor to sweeten our audio. Using this effect lets us adjust different frequency ranges differently, which means that you can adjust some frequencies one way, and other frequencies a different way. Let's go ahead and open the sequence named 5.2 Multi-Band Compressor. So sequences, chapter five, 5.2 Multi-Band Compressor. Let's go ahead and select this very first clip, and add the multi-band compressor to this clip. For that we need the effects panel. In the search section here, just type "multi," and you will see, under audio effects, amplitude and compression, the multi-band compressor. To add the effect to the clip, if the clip is selected and it is here, all you have to do is double-click it. You can also drag the effect to the clip.…
