Staying ahead with CX

- Airbnb, Uber, Amazon. These household names weren't always well known. They were upstarts and disruptors in their respective industries, and yet, they didn't create new products or offer updates on the products already available. They innovated on experience. They focused on what customers didn't like about booking hotel rooms, finding taxi cabs, or shopping. This is one of the most overlooked areas in customer experience strategy, in my opinion. CX is a great way to stay ahead of your competitors, if you work at it. Most organizations see disruption as a bad thing. After all, if you're the industry leader, disruptors sound like scary competition that will steal away your customers. But disruption can also come from within the industry. The problem I see is that most leaders don't even consider this as an option. They innovate only within the parameters of their products as they exist today. They say things like,…
