In this role you will represent the Starbucks brand on Front End Innovation while supporting new product development across new and existing platforms in partnership with Nestlé. You will ensure that the products, packaging, and marketing (down the aisle and out of store) elevate our brand and deliver on business objectives, providing our consumers everything they need to craft exceptional beverages at home.
As a brand manager I, Innovation you will…
- Support long-term innovation strategy: You will support the team in building the 3+ year Starbucks At Home Coffee pipeline, leveraging macrotrends and consumer and business insights to craft a holistic Starbucks strategy that will deliver against our strategic priorities today and tomorrow.
- Lead the development of big bet innovation: You will lead the development of new products, including collaborating and actively problem solving with cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and strong execution of innovation.
- Leverage leadership and strategic thinking skills: You will influence and inspire across internal and external cross-functional partners across Starbucks and Nestlé. You will serve as an innovation and strategy connector across multiple Nestlé brand teams and multiple Starbucks internal teams.
- Bring medium-term innovation to commercialization: You will be responsible for co-developing and participating in design and test/learn strategies that progress long-term innovation across all facets that ready commercialization including progressing desirability, feasibility, and viability phases.
- Enjoy working on an energetic, fun, and highly collaborative team: Drive the business forward while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
- A passion for and history of launching successful innovation (CPG experience preferred)
- Strong human-centered design and test/learn experience
- Strong experience interpreting and leveraging consumer insights
- Progressive experience in brand management (5-7 years)
- Project leadership in large cross-functional environment (5-7 years)
- Ability to thrive in and effectively manage ambiguity
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Thought leadership and a brand champion
- MBA strongly preferred
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
