What an amazing and inspiring day today at City of Boston Commission on individuals with disabilities! 35 Years ago the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed allowing thousands of individuals with disabilities access to education, independent living, employment, and a right to live life to the fullest!

Thank you to Senator Nicholas Collins, Representative David Biele and Representative Dan Hunt for your continued advocacy and support of the legislation S.2017 and H.3293. We will continue to advocate for employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities!
Yesterday I had the honor of testifying on behalf of WORK Inc. with Senator Nicholas Collins and individuals with disabilities on S.2107 and H. 3293 - An Act relative to employment of individuals with disabilities on state contracts. It is easier for individuals with disabilities to register for benefits than getting a job, we need to do better. Also had the opportunity to speak with Congressman Seth Moulton about the U.S. AbilityOne Commission and the hundreds of individuals with disabilities working on contracts with the federal government. The Congressman became a champion in 2018 and I had the honor of presenting it to him in D.C. Advocacy is so important - if there is an issue that you are passionate about get involved!
