Congratulations to Heartland Coca-Cola on the grand opening of its 720,000-square-foot beverage production and distribution facility in Olathe, Kansas. Four years after committing to replace its aging plant, Heartland’s new facility is fully operational, featuring:  🔹Four high-speed bottling and case packaging systems  🔹25,000 SF of office and administrative space  🔹40-foot ceilings with insulated tilt-wall construction  🔹 Infrastructure for five production lines, 40 docks and seven receiving bays  🔹 Integrated utilities, sustainable systems and wastewater management Haskell served as the design-builder, leading facility design, utilities engineering and construction management. Haskell is excited to congratulate Coca-Cola Beverages Florida on completing its new 800,000-square-foot bottling and distribution facility in Tampa, Florida.  Strategically located on a 165-acre site, this facility consolidates key operations under one roof, with utility systems designed to support blending, syrup production and packaging across four high-speed lines. Our self-perform structural teams delivered the framework using tilt-up, insulated wall construction, creating a durable, energy-efficient envelope to match the demands of a fast-moving operation. The site posed no shortage of challenges, including over five feet of surcharge fill, but our team responded with innovative solutions, tight coordination and zero compromise on quality. Integrated OEM warehousing, fleet services and production-ready spaces ensure that the facility operates with precision and is primed for future expansion. This project is a cornerstone of The Coca-Cola Company’s Florida distribution network, and Haskell is proud to have helped bring this vision to life. What does it take to thrive as an AEC intern? For DeAja Jackson, it’s been all about showing up, stepping up and learning fast.  A civil engineering student at the University of Central Missouri, Jackson joined Haskell’s Structural Engineering team in St. Louis, where she actively contributes to complex projects. Haskell team members joined community leaders, JEA, the City of Jacksonville and Jacobs on July 28 to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the Greenland Water Reclamation Facility, Duval County, Florida’s first greenfield wastewater treatment facility built in 48 years. JEA led the initiative to deliver this $148 million project with Haskell as Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) alongside Jacobs as the engineer. This facility will serve customers in growing communities south of U.S. 1, including Nocatee and Twin Creeks.  The facility has an initial treatment capacity of 4 million gallons per day (MGD), expandable to 12 MGD, and consolidates flows from the Arlington East and Mandarin Water Reclamation Facilities to support Jacksonville’s growth and reduce demand on existing systems.
