Earlier this month, we laced up for the Corporate Challenge Cup in Chicago alongside teams from IMC Trading, Cboe Global Markets and Belvedere Trading, LLC. After a strong run to the semi-finals, we were proud to take part in something bigger than the game itself. The tournament supports Urban Initiatives, a Chicago non-profit using sport to help kids build leadership, teamwork and confidence from an early age. We’ve partnered with Urban Initiatives for the past 10 years and are proud to continue supporting their mission on and off the pitch.

🚀🌟 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁-𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 ? 🎯📌 On 𝟭𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 📆, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the 📍 Belvedere Trading, LLC 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, and I can honestly say - it was one of the most eye-opening experiences in my journey into 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 so far 📉. This wasn’t just about learning how 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 happen. It was about seeing how 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, and 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 come together to make incredibly fast and calculated decisions - and how every millisecond can carry weight. 🔍 Here’s what left a lasting impression on me: 🔸 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 - Traders operate in an environment where timing and focus are everything. Watching that in action was truly inspiring. 🔸𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗿 - The ultra-low latency systems and real-time data infrastructure at Belvedere aren’t just tools - they’re part of the strategy. 🔸 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 - Quants, traders, and engineers work together to build, test, and improve strategies - all in sync, all in real time. 🔸 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 - Seeing how raw market data is converted into actionable insight showed me how critical fast, scalable systems are in this space. 🔸 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 - What stood out the most was how much the firm values mentorship, curiosity, and continuous learning. That really clicked with me as a student looking to grow. 🧠 For me, this session was more than just informative - it was genuinely motivating. It gave me a clearer picture of the kind of impact you can have when you're working at the intersection of markets, data, and technology. 📈 🌟 I am deeply grateful to the team at Belvedere Trading, LLC for providing this invaluable opportunity and sharing their insights. Last night, our trading and technology teams paired up to compete in a team building tournament at Big City Pickle. Each team was one part tech, one part trading - a fierce partnership! After a long string of hard fought Ws, our championship game came down to interns versus full timers. Point for point, Team Belvedere's very own Henry C. (trader) and Andrew M. (tech lead) came away with the victory! "We didn't know each other before," said Henry. "Now, I feel like we know each other pretty well. Andrew was a great teammate and I now would feel comfortable reaching out to him with work-related questions or to play some tennis sometime after work." This is what it's all about, folks.
