Today, July 30th, is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. It's a time to raise awareness about human trafficking and stand up for victims and survivors. Stonebridge actively supports programs and partnerships to fight human trafficking in our communities. During our New Orleans Leadership Conference, we launched a partnership with Polaris. We are thrilled to announce that during the Leadership Conference, our team raised an incredible $9,686 for Polaris. We plan to continue contributing to this organization throughout the year by participating in/hosting fundraisers, integrating their training programs with our learning management system, and releasing communications throughout our organization to raise awareness. To truly end trafficking, we must understand the root causes that enable it, like poverty, homelessness, discrimination, and abuse.
