This weekend, we partnered with The Dream Factory to make Seth Gottman's wish come true. Seth, 18, is battling muscular dystrophy, which ended his dreams of playing collegiate and pro baseball. Ever perseverant, he has turned his sights toward becoming a baseball broadcaster. On Sunday, Seth spent the day in the broadcast booths at Busch Stadium learning from Chip, Brad, Ricky, Rooney, Bengie, and Polo! He even got behind the mic to serve as the stadium announcer for an inning!

We were honored to host Officer Nathan Spiess at the ballpark this weekend for a ceremonial first pitch. Officer Spiess, a 6-year veteran of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, was struck by a car while on duty last March, resulting in the amputation of the lower part of his leg. With the support of The BackStoppers, Inc. and Guns 'N Hoses, Speiss has since undergone three surgeries, received his prosthetic, and is aiming to return to full duty with SLMPD.

Last week, we brought 11-year old David Mathis to the ballpark through the Make-A-Wish Foundation to fulfill his wish of being a big leaguer! David got a locker in the Cardinals clubhouse, took some swings in the batting cages, had a bullpen session with Miles Mikolas and even got to participate in the lineup card exchange!
