Peterlee, Durham , UK — ISOCOM , a world leader in high reliability Space component for power management, today introduced a new small footprint solid state relay (SSR) for space-qualified applications of power management bus switching, motor control ,heater control circuits and battery charging used in high reliability to Mil standard 750 and 883. The CSMR110 and CSMR140 are suitable for radiation-hardened DC single pole, single throw type SSR is designed to improve reliability by replacing traditional electro-mechanical relays that are vulnerable to vibration and shock. The new SSR features very low on-state resistance (RDS (on)) to improve thermal efficiency and is offered in a low profile LCC 4 pad ceramic , hermetically sealed package. Weighing only 0.1g this surface mountable device uses just 3.8 mm (0.150 inches) by 5.6mm (0.220 inches) of board space. "ISOCOM’ SSR improves reliability, reduces weight, footprint and eliminates the need for additional circuit for filtration, making it an attractive replacement as alternative to less reliable electro-mechanical relays. The new 100 V and 400V device is characterized to meet the total dose levels up to 100 krad (Si).. The CSMR110 and CSMR140 are a single channel device rated at 100 V at 3Aamp and 400V at 1Amp with 1,000 V input to output and channel-to-channel isolation.
