The conversation has changed. Here's how solar teams can still win. H.R. 1 just reshaped the solar sales landscape. With the 30% ITC sunsetting for TPO and lease-based systems, many reps are already feeling the shift. But here’s the thing: rising utility rates and homeowner uncertainty make solar more relevant than ever. Teams that learn how to connect with empathy and reframe the value of solar—beyond just incentives—are the ones who’ll close more in 2025 (and beyond). In our newest article, we break down: - What homeowners are feeling now, and how to meet them where they are - The top 3 questions your reps are likely to hear post-BBB, and how to answer with clarity and confidence - Real tools, messaging tips, and phrases your team can use to build trust and keep deals moving into 2026 - Quick compliance reminders and how Solo’s updated tools automatically reflect the new 2025 rules This is the messaging shift that sets you apart. 🔗 Full article linked in the comments. #SolarSales #BBB2025 #CleanEnergyTransition #SolarReps #HR1 #ResidentialSolar

18 Months to Move: H.R. 1 Passed—Here’s What It Means for Solar Congress has officially passed H.R. 1 (the "One Big Beautiful Bill"), setting new timelines for every major federal solar incentive. The headline? The 30% residential solar credit (§25D) ends Dec 31, 2025—with no phase-out. This gives homeowners 18 months to qualify for the full credit. For solar sellers, it’s go-time. TPO has a clear runway through 2026, making now the time to lean in. Whether you're offering leases, loans, or cash deals, the market is shifting fast. Because it doesn't depend on §25D, it's one of the most resilient paths forward. And with energy rates projected to rise, the value of locked-in utility bills has never been clearer. Here’s how solar teams can stay ahead: - Installers: Close contracts early and guarantee PTO by Q4 2025 - Dealers: Fast-track late-stage projects to hit the 60-day window - Manufacturers: Audit supply chains to maintain §45X eligibility The teams that win will be the ones who move fast, speak clearly, and help customers act with confidence while incentives are still on the table. Solo's here to help. From verified designs to fast, flexible proposal tools, we've got the infrastructure to help you adapt and close with confidence. • 📊 Solar is entering a new era—where proposals double as legal documents and compliance defines credibility. In 2025, major laws like Utah’s HB0057, California’s SB 379, and New York’s updated BESS are setting the bar for proposal accuracy, battery safety, and rep oversight. Add in federal shifts like the OBBB’s ITC phase-down, and it’s clear: the industry is moving toward real regulation. This isn’t just about rules; it’s about trust, scale, and your long-term success. - Proposals now require verified modeling and clear disclosures - Sales reps need training, oversight, and W-2 classification in many states - Project timelines must align with new federal credit deadlines The teams thriving in this landscape? They’re investing in transparent workflows, smarter tools, and audit-ready ops. We broke it all down: what’s changing, what it means, and how to stay ahead. 🔗 Read the full article in the comments. #SolarCompliance #SolarLeadership #CleanEnergyPolicy #GoSolo

The Senate just released new updates to the BBB—and the solar story isn’t over yet. The 30% Residential ITC would now phase down gradually—rather than disappearing all at once. That’s a positive shift. But with swing votes still undecided, and final bill text due by tomorrow, June 27, everything’s still in play. Here’s where it stands: ⚫ The ITC phases to 26% in 2026, 22% in 2027, 18% in 2028. ⚫ GOP leadership needs every vote + VP to pass this through reconciliation. ⚫ Key Senators are calling for stronger rooftop solar protections before backing the bill. ⚫ If passed as-is, project timelines get tight: Most residential installs will need to start construction within 60 days of passage to fully qualify. If the current version can’t secure votes, the solar section could be dropped to move the budget forward. 📘 We’ll keep tracking it—and break it down when the final draft drops. In the meantime, teams with accurate, compliant-ready workflows are still the ones closing deals with confidence. Uncertainty rewards the ones who plan for it. #SolarPolicy #BBB #ITC #CleanEnergy #SolarLeadership #GoSolo

The OBBB just got an update in the Senate—and it’s still on track for a potential vote by July 4. 🔻 Residential ITC (25D): The 30% homeowner credit would now expire 180 days after the bill is enacted—no longer tied to December 31, 2025. 🔻 Leased systems (TPOs): Commercial credits (48E) will now step down from 2026 to 2028, instead of ending immediately. Still a hit—but slightly softened. 🔻 Construction timelines: Projects must start within 60 days of passage and finish by 2028 to qualify for full credit. 🔻 FEOC supply chain rules: Kicking in after 2025, they could disqualify installs that use components from flagged entities. 🔻 Transferability limits: Still technically allowed, but significantly narrowed—especially for third-party ownership structures. Teams relying on PDF proposals, manual quote adjustments, or outdated utility rates will be scrambling in Q3 and Q4. The ones with real-time design data, compliance-backed tools, and verified workflows? They’ll close faster, communicate better, and install without bottlenecks. 💡What it means: The incentive landscape is changing fast. Teams using PDF proposals and manual inputs will feel the squeeze. Those with real-time policy updates, verified designs, and fast proposal workflows? They'll close faster, install sooner, and avoid compliance surprises. We broke it all down in our new article—link in comments.

  • Some of our team attended OHM’s latest webinar on the potential impacts of the recent House bill. Here are the key takeaways you should know: 🧠 ☀️ - California: +23% YoY growth, driven by a final surge under NEM 2.0—now tapering off under NEM 3.0 - Northeast corridor (NY, NJ, CT, MA): ~29% growth, largely supported by third-party financing models - Sun Belt: Mixed signals — AZ down 4%, FL down 5%, TX down 20%, as rising rates and policy uncertainty weigh on demand Nationally, OHM highlighted a 25% drop in residential solar installs for 2024—a sharp correction following years of rapid growth. What we’re watching next: Contractor survey insights: How many are shifting toward storage? How are they preparing for policy shifts? Early data on batteries (ESS) and commercial PV: Growth here could help offset residential slowdowns Senate movement on the One Big Beautiful Bill: Final policy outcomes could reshape—or cement—these state-level trends
