🚧 Improving Transportation Infrastructure in Pennsylvania 🚧 S&B USA is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Major Bridges Program, a public-private partnership (P3) to secure sustainable funding to replace six essential interstate bridges across the state. The P3 approach enabled PennDOT to bundle and accelerate these bridge projects with limited resources. As part of this program, the I-80 Canoe Creek bridges in Clarion County are being replaced. ✅ The current bridges were built in 1966. ✅ By 2025, the bridges will carry an estimated average of 30,100 vehicles per day. ✅ About 47 percent of this traffic is commercial truck traffic. ✅ The project will replace the existing structures and update the roadway within the project limits to meet current design criteria and improve safety. 🎥 Watch to see progress on the first of the two bridges! Building Climate Resiliency With Impact 🌧️ We work with our clients to develop and build infrastructure projects that deliver both sustainability and resiliency for communities. 🏗️ A powerful example: When completed, the Fargo-Moorhead Stormwater Diversion Channel public-private partnership (P3) will protect about 260,000 people and 70 squares miles of community that has experienced frequent flooding. As the first climate resiliency P3 of its kind, the 30-mile diversion channel project was selected by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) as one of five finalists for the 2025 UNECE PPP and Infrastructure Award. Seen here is a completed section of the diversion channel and levee that will divert and contain water during flood events.
