RED-Rochester sewer inspectors helped out the Rochester and Genesee Valley Railroad Museum by donating their time and equipment to clean out 5 catch basins at the museum. This was needed in order to repair some slopes and roads after a previous instance of heavy rain and flash flooding. Great job helping out our neighbors!!!

Juneteenth, also known as Juneteenth Independence Day, Freedom Day, or Emancipation Day, commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States. Specifically, it marks the day, June 19, 1865, when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce that the more than 250,000 enslaved African Americans in the state were free. This was nearly two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Juneteenth is celebrated with various activities including parades, festivals, and family gatherings, and has been gaining increased recognition as a federal holiday.

I had the honor and privilege meeting with Congressman Joe Morelle (NY-25) on Capitol Hill last week to discuss energy credits within the Income Tax Credit (ITC) program of the IRA. Whether a continuation of the existing credits or a modification moving towards technology neutral solutions, the tax credits provide business certainty, reduce investment risks, and help fund innovative projects to improve energy efficiency, reliability, expand generation capacity, and enable continued manufacturing growth for RED Rochester and the businesses we serve on the Eastman Business Park. We appreciate the Congressman's support and efforts supporting NY businesses!
