👀 Looking good Adelaide Airport Limited! Fantastic to see our RTT 110 Hold Baggage EDS Machines rising into place!
Upgrades to our Baggage Handling System are up and away! Three of five new x-ray machines have been installed as part of the upgrade of our Baggage Handling System upgrade to Checked Baggage Standard 3. Installing new RTT 110 x-ray machines will enable high-resolution 3D imaging of luggage, replacing the previous 2D views to achieve Australian security regulatory compliance. The move involved transporting equipment using a 3.5 tonne forklift, gently positioning equipment on a specially designed lifting platform for install. Ensuring safe journeys and faster connections, the upgraded system can process up to 1,800 bags per hour, making them incredibly efficient for high-traffic areas such as our terminal. By August 2025, we will have five RTT 110 x-rays installed at Adelaide Airport.
