    Excited to officially announce that Phonely (YC S24) has partnered with TSA Group - Australia to bring AI voice agents to enterprises across Australia and New Zealand. This partnership didn’t come together overnight. About eight months ago, we started by automating a small but important workflow: handling sick leave calls for TSA’s 4,500 internal contact center agents. Over time, that small use case evolved into a broader collaboration to build out a platform capable of automating voice interactions across healthcare, hospitality, automotive and even government. Along the way, we overcame some major milestones, not just in technology, but also in compliance. Australia has some of the most stringent data privacy laws in the world. To meet them, we deployed the first fully Australian-hosted voice AI platform, with all data processed and stored locally. A huge thank you to the TSA team for their trust, collaboration, and long-term vision. We’re just getting started. This is exactly the direction we’re aiming for at Qube. ✅ Beyond GPUs: Architecting the Compute Core of AGI (Groq, FuriosaAI, Amazon Web Services (AWS), AMQ Semiconductor) A really interesting discussion showing that standard GPUs are simply not enough anymore. We need specialized chips to scale AI solutions efficiently. Scott Albin and June Paik gave me some great ideas for further optimizing costs for our clients. ✅ The Rise of AI Agents (WEKA, Manus AI, AgoraObserve.AI) Here, I got a key insight from Val Bercovici: Companies that rapidly deploy AI agents are taking a significant market share by automating knowledge work. A big confirmation that we’re on the right path. ✅ Next-Gen AI Hardware (June Paik, FuriosaAI) June showed how next-generation hardware can dramatically speed up AI model inference, meaning our AI solutions will run even faster for our clients. ✅ Unleashing the Power of Agentic AI (Sebastian Ma, Z.ai) 马浩程 Sebastian shared real-world examples of agent-based systems in action, how they significantly reduce costs and boost process efficiency. This perfectly validates our approach and inspires us to deliver even more value to our customers. ✅ How To Run AI At Scale Without Going Broke (Jack Collierio.net) Jack convinced me that scaling AI doesn’t have to be insanely expensive. The key is to deliver maximum value to clients at a reasonable cost. ✅ Voice AI: Reducing Latency by 70% (Will Bodewes, Phonely (YC S24)) Will demonstrated how to dramatically reduce latency in voice agents, which we’ll immediately apply to make our AI agents communicate even more smoothly and quickly. ✅ State of the Art in Agentic AI (Chandra Khatri, Krutrim) Chandra showcased the global potential of agent-based AI systems that can serve billions of people. That’s exactly the kind of scaling we’re planning at Qube. It’s not just about a single solution, but a complex, future-ready setup.     I just wrapped up an incredible few days at SuperAI in Singapore. Incredible energy, talent, and genuinely exciting projects on display, especially in the agentic AI space. It was inspiring to learn from builders who are actually implementing real-world AI and not just talking about it. Too many inspirational learnings to capture in a single post, so I’ll be sharing a short series over the next few weeks highlighting some of the standout work. First up: Phonely (YC S24) I had a great conversation with founder Will Bodewes, whose team is building an autonomous voice agent that hits close to home. Their journey mirrors many of the challenges we faced back at Scicom MSC Berhad when developing our own voice AI agent; from handling latency and transcription accuracy to the subtle art of detecting when a human caller has finished speaking (crucial for providing the LLM full context without interrupting the flow). Phonely’s approach reflects a thoughtful balance between AI capability and conversational nuance. This is a theme I think will define the next wave of real agentic systems. More soon.     Matt Wolfe crashed our demo agent. Here’s what happened. Right after announcing our partnership with Groq, things blew up. We 1000x’d our traffic basically overnight. And… we accidentally rate-limited one of the most important things on our site: the public voice demo. When setting up our on-site demo, we set a limit of a few hundred calls an hour to prevent spam. A few months ago this seemed like a reasonable limit ... boy was I wrong. In the past week or so, we've had thousands of sign ups, hundreds of calls booked and tens of thousands of people trying out our voice demo.
