We're proud to partner with New York GEAR UP and support this initiative. It is crucial for our communities to invest in the future of New York!
A huge thank you to NYS Office of Information Technology Services for stepping up and providing 20 laptops for the NYGEAR UP Summer Academy at Ithaca College last month. With these laptops, our students got to dive into video game design and graphic creation, all with the guidance of Studio Labs. It was an amazing, hands-on experience that helped them explore different career paths and discover new possibilities for their futures. Programs like this are so important, they give students the skills and confidence they need to prepare for college and their careers. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of New York students. #NYGEARUP #GEARUPWorks #NYS #NYSITS

ITS spotlights Afifah Raheem, a student assistant intern in the Finance department currently studying at the University at Albany. Afifah brings a desire to expand her skillset to this role – not only the skills she is currently learning in class but also interpersonal abilities, learning how to best support a team. When not earning new experiences in a professional or educational setting, she enjoys expanding her horizons with travel; she has visited every U.S. state on the east coast.

Digital access is for everyone! ITS celebrates 35 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act. #ADA35 ➡️ a11y is a commonly used shorthand for #accessibility (there are 11 letters between the a and y). 👓 Not everyone sees your site. Some New Yorkers use screen readers, magnifiers or high-contrast mode. 🔊 Sound isn’t always heard. Captions and transcripts make audio content work for everyone. 🖱️ Some people can’t use a mouse. Design for those who tab, type or talk to navigate the web. 🧠 Brains work differently. Words and designs that are clear and simple work better for everyone.
