This week on The Nordy Pod, our host Pete Nordstrom sits down with someone you’ve likely seen on TV (and the cover of the Nordstrom Anniversary catalog) — actor, comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member Chloe Fineman. Chloe shares the path that led her to star in the preeminent sketch comedy show of our time. What started as a pursuit of drama at NYU eventually led her to The Groundlings in Los Angeles, where she discovered her comedic talents. From there, Chloe built a following on social media through her iconic impressions, which helped her land one of the most coveted roles in comedy. Not only is Chloe a talented actor and comedian — she’s also a lifelong Nordstrom customer. As she grew up in Northern California, shopping at Nordstrom was a significant part of her upbringing. Fast forward to today, and she’s now the face of this year's Anniversary Sale. Chloe shares more about her memorable shopping experiences at Nordstrom and her love for Nordstrom Local in New York City. After his conversation with Chloe, Pete talks to a longtime Nordstrom customer who shares a story about why Nordstrom remains her go-to destination for great service. The Anniversary Sale is officially on—and it’s a big deal! This past weekend, we had the joy of bringing our community together for a vibrant block party in downtown Seattle to celebrate the first day of our public sale. With live music, booths hosted by vendors and nonprofit partners, and a steady flow of foot traffic, the energy was incredible. Thanks to everyone who joined us in Seattle. If you missed the fun, don’t worry—there are plenty of ways to celebrate. Find events and experiences at a Nordstrom store near you: https://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.plnkd.in/gfdP_nRY

This week on The Nordy Pod, our host Pete Nordstrom sits down with an industry leader whose career spans continents, cultures, and some of the most iconic names in fashion: Sebastian Picardo, president and CEO of the legendary Canadian luxury retailer Holt Renfrew. Sebastian shares how his unconventional path — from practicing accounting in Argentina to leading one of the most prominent luxury department stores in Canada — shaped his perspective on retail and leadership. With experience at brands like Alexander McQueen, Net-a-Porter, and Burberry, Sebastian has a unique perspective on navigating the complexities of retail. In this episode, Pete and Sebastian talk about some of the most important topics in the retail industry: building resilience in an unpredictable retail landscape, the importance of clarity in brand identity, and the evolving luxury consumer. They also discuss Nordstrom’s own attempt to expand into Canada and what it taught Pete about competition. Whether you're a retail enthusiast or curious about the challenges and triumphs of staying relevant in a dynamic industry, you won’t want to miss this episode: http://xmrrwallet.com/cmx.pbit.ly/4kiR7hd

Earlier this month, we were honored to support ICON360’s third annual HBCU Professor Retreat—a dynamic event bridging HBCU academia and the fashion industry. During an insightful panel, our own Terisha Johnson, Satya Kulkowitz, Simone Segall, and Jane Vishwanath shared valuable perspectives on Nordstrom Product Group, exploring how educators can empower students with the tools and mentorship needed for successful careers in private label fashion. We were thrilled to wrap up the experience by welcoming professors and administrators to our NYC Flagship store for tours and a reception. Thank you to everyone who made this experience so impactful!
