This moment was made even more meaningful as we reflected on the legacy of last year’s recipient, trailblazer Alicia Searcy, founder of Fashion is 4 Every Body, and a fierce advocate for inclusion. Still riding the high from the Disco Dash and feeling so grateful. Whether you danced through the rain, cheered from the sidelines, sponsored the fun, or donated from afar—your support MOVE’d us. Together, we raised $51,285(!!!) to keep creating inclusive spaces where everyone belongs. That’s something to celebrate, right?! And we have to share this story: Meet Jim (last photo). 78 years old. On a mission to run a 5K in every state. He emailed us the day before the race… and tbh, we thought it was spam. But sure enough, he showed up—drove in from Kentucky that morning, ran our race, then hit the road to Missouri. A total legend. These are the kind of moments we’ll never forget. Earlier this month, we welcomed a team of HCA Healthcare employees to our Bellevue studio for a meaningful day of service! From adding fresh touches to our lobby space to hanging beautiful new photos of our dancers, their support helped us breathe new life into the studio. The day ended on a high note with a special performance from some of our MOVE Student Ambassadors, followed by some serious teamwork stuffing dance bags with essentials for our competition team heading to Chattanooga this weekend! All jazz hands for National Volunteer Month! I’m proud to serve the Nashville community during HCA Healthcare’s sixth annual Community Days: A Month of Service, our month-long volunteer campaign. A part of this initiative, of course I volunteered with MOVE Inclusive Dance, which provides a stage for students of all ages with disabilities. We prepped our students for their upcoming dance competition by packing dance bags and providing notes of encouragement.
