On this day in 1790, Congress authorized the construction of 10 vessels to enforce tariff and trade laws, prevent smuggling and protect the collection of federal revenue. Come out to a Veterans Day Program at the Dearth Community Center this Wednesday, August 6th, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Veterans will receive free admission to the fair and program with dessert and light refreshments provided.
